THE TRAVEL DESKSTATE & NATION TRAVEL · DESTINATION GUIDE
Choose a part of Canada and a season first, then connect the places, transport and visitor experiences that fit that journey.
Parks Canada’s visitor planning resources organize trips by region and season, bringing national parks and historic places into the same planning process. Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario, the Prairies, the West and the North offer different starting points; a useful itinerary begins with the area you actually intend to visit.
Destination Canada’s planning information covers air travel, driving, rail, public transit and accessibility. Combining those transport resources with the destination’s own visitor information helps turn a list of attractions into a workable route. An urban stop and a park visit can be part of one trip, but they should not share an assumed set of operating hours or reservation rules.

Official visitor resourceCheck the individual Parks Canada location before arranging a visit. Its camping, parking, shuttle or activity reservations may be separate; confirm which bookings apply to your plans and which services are available for your dates.
Verify transport times with the operator and allow for the local time at each stop. Ask about accessible transport and the actual facilities at the attraction, rather than relying on a general destination description.
Treat fees, seasonal access and event dates as information to recheck close to departure. This guide links to official planning resources; it does not confirm live booking inventory, current road conditions or admission availability.
Separate November 2 orders restrict two recreation corridors in the Alberta park. Neither lists an end date; the Kootenai Brown restriction covers the mapped area, not the entire trail.
