Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park backcountry closed due to tropical storm warning

The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Hawaiʻi Island. Because this includes a possibility of tropical storm force winds, Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park has closed the coastal and Mauna Loa summit backcountry areas to both day hiking and overnight camping.
