Acadia National Park shares tips for safe and enjoyable Independence Day visit

Acadia National Park is on the top ten list of most visited national parks in the United States, welcoming more than 3.5 million visits a year. Fourth of July week is anticipated to be a popular time to visit, especially from Thursday July 4 through Saturday July 6. Visitors are encouraged to plan carefully and use the fare free Island Explorer shuttle service to access the Park Loop Road, carriage roads, and hiking trails.
