Kids in Parks: Discover prairie plants at Homestead National Historical Park
July 8, 2024 · Source: National Park Service
Attention kids of all ages! Come to the Education Center at Homestead National Historical Park on Saturday, July 13 at 10 a.m. and join us in a ranger-led activity as we discover the plants on the prairie. We’ll take a short hike on the prairie and discuss some uses of native plants. Afterward, we’ll decorate a flowerpot and plant seeds that will grow into a plant to take home. All participants earn a Junior Ranger badge. Of course, the event is FREE!
