Tourism to Fire Island National Seashore creates $26.3 million in Economic Benefits

A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 393,749 visitors to Fire Island National Seashore federal tracts and close to 2.5 million within in the park boundaries in 2022 spent $19.6 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 193 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $26.3 million.
