Guided Painting and Community Canvas Project with Alex Gallardo // Proyecto de pintura guiada y lienzo comunitario con Alex Gallardo

Join local artist Alex Gallardo for a Día de los Muertos-inspired guided painting session and community canvas project. Participants will create their own painting while also contributing to a collaborative community artwork inspired by themes of remembrance, family, and community. No prior painting experience is required, and all materials will be provided. Alex Gallardo is an accomplished visual artist and muralist whose work can be found throughout California and Kern County. He currently serves as a Project Manager for Arts in Corrections (AIC), supporting arts programs that foster personal growth and rehabilitation among incarcerated individuals. This free program will be held on Sunday, November 1, from 12:00–3:00 p.m. in the Memorial Garden near the Visitor Center at César E. Chávez National Monument. Space is limited and advance registration is required. Los participantes crearán su propia pintura mientras contribuyen a una obra de arte colaborativa inspirada en los temas del recuerdo, la familia y la comunidad. No se requiere experiencia previa en pintura y todos los materiales serán proporcionados. Alex Gallardo es un reconocido artista visual y muralista cuya obra puede encontrarse en distintas comunidades de California y del condado de Kern. Actualmente se desempeña como Gerente de Proyectos para Arts in Corrections (AIC), apoyando programas artísticos que fomentan el crecimiento personal y la rehabilitación de personas encarceladas.
