Paper Crafts with Maria Mercado // Manualidades de papel con Maria Mercado

Join Maria Mercado, esteemed community member and long-time volunteer, for an afternoon full of paper crafts! Through the use of colorful tissue paper, learn about the symbolism behind these elements of Día de los Muertos, and create your own paper crafts to bring home for your altar! This event will be held on Saturday, October 10 from 12:00-3:00 in the Memorial Garden near the Visitor Center at César E. Chávez National Monument. This event is free, but spots are limited. Sign up to reserve yours today. ---------------------------------- Acompañe a Maria Mercado, estimada integrante de la comunidad y voluntaria de muchos años, para una tarde llena de manualidades de papel. A través del uso de colorido papel de seda, aprenda sobre el simbolismo detrás de estos elementos del Día de los Muertos y cree sus propias decoraciones de papel para llevar a casa y colocar en su altar.
