Jean Lafitte National Historical Park & Preserve presents a What's Cooking Wednesday Food Demonstation Wednesday at 12:00 noon At the National Park Service French Quarter Visitor Center 419 Decatur St, New Orleans Learn about New Orleans history and culture while observing a cooking demonstration by Shawanda Marie. New Orleans Creole Story Pot is a cultural and culinary storytelling initiative led by Shawanda Marie , an 11th‑generation Louisiana Creole, culinary storyteller, and chef. Her work blends authentic Creole cuisine with oral history, cultural heritage, and community stories from New Orleans and South Louisiana. This program is free and open to the public. (Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.)
