Beginning in early June, Minuteman Missile National Historic Site will restore access to: • Ranger-led tours of the Delta-01 Launch Control Facility, with modifications • The Delta-09 missile silo will be open daily, 9:00 – 3:00 mountain time With public health in mind, the following facilities remain closed at this time: • The park visitor center, adjacent Interstate-90, exit 131.
Minuteman Missile National Historic Site is announcing modifications to operations to implement the latest guidance from the White House, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), and local and state authorities to promote social distancing. As of the close of business Friday, March 2020, the visitor center will close until further notice. Ranger-guided tours of the Delta-01 Launch Control Facility have been suspended through April 21, 2020. Where it is possible to adhere to the latest health guidance, the exterior of Delta-01 and the grounds of Delta-09 will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. mountain time, daily.
For the first time ever, Minuteman Missile NHS will offer an Accessible Topside tour of Delta-01 that focuses on the topside structure and uses accommodations to explore the underground launch control Center. This tour does not enter the elevator or go to the underground control center.
In recognition of Veterans Day, on Monday, Nov. 11, the staff and volunteers of Minuteman Missile National Historic Site will debut an improved and expanded mobile phone tour of the park. While an audio tour exploring the features of the Delta-09 missile silo has been available for many years, the expanded tour provides ten stops that will take visitors to the main gate of the Delta-01 Launch Control Facility.
As the weather turns colder, Minuteman Missile National Historic Site will transition to off-season operations. In this time of reduced visitor traffic, same-day ticket sales of unreserved tour tickets will be available every morning at the visitor center. Beginning Saturday, November 1, 2019 and lasting until Friday, March 1, 2020, the visitor center will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
