Saratoga National Historical Park is hosting a public open house on June 17, 2026 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stillwater Town Hall, located at 881 N. Hudson Ave. in Stillwater, NY.
On April 26, the National Park Service will unveil the newest attraction to the Saratoga National Historical Park Visitor Center, a 266-year-old French Cannon named La Poesie (Poetry). It will remain on display for the next two years as the park observes the 250th anniversaries of the Declaration of Independence in 2026 and the Battles of Saratoga in 2027.
A new National Park Service report shows that 116,537 visitors to Saratoga National Historical Park in 2024 spent $8,200,000 in communities near the park. That spending had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $10,383,000.

A new National Park Service report shows that 102,000 visitors to Saratoga National Historical Park in 2023 spent $6.8 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 85 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $9 million.
Visitor access and understanding of one of the most historic landscapes in the country will increase with the recent completion of the $6 million Battlefield Tour Road Improvement Project funded by the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA) Legacy Restoration Fund.
Saratoga National Historical Park recently received news that they have been selected to receive some of these funds for three important projects to address acute threats to the park’s natural resources, building resiliency in the face of climate change. Saratoga National Historical Park reopened its eastern entrance at Route 4 today after park facilities staff completed stabilization efforts. Permanent repairs will occur later. The entire Park Entrance Road between Route 4 and Route 32 is now available.
Torrential rainfall the evening of July 16 caused flash flooding in parts of Saratoga National Historical Park causing substantial damage to the park’s eastern entrance at Route 4 and at numerous locations along the park’s hiking trails.
Saratoga National Historical Park announces the donation of Light Six-Pounder British Cannon (#102) from the Department of the Army to the National Park Service (NPS). The park will permanently preserve Cannon #102 as a part of its museum collection.
Saratoga National Historical Park will be conducting important tree work along the Park Entrance Road between the Visitor Center Parking lot and Lohnes Road from February 13, 2023 through March 17, 2023. The Park Entrance Road in that area will therefore be closed from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, to ensure the safe completion of this work.
