Burlington seeks ideas for Smalley Playground on October 8

Staff Writer · 2026-10-08 · Burlington

Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront will hold an in-person Smalley Playground design event from 3 to 6 p.m. October 8 at Smalley Park, 292 Saint Paul Street.

Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront is inviting residents to Smalley Park on Thursday, October 8, from 3 to 6 p.m. to discuss replacement of the park’s playground. The event will be held at 292 Saint Paul Street and will include activities and snacks.

Participants can tell the city what works in the current playground, what is missing and what they want improved. Community feedback will help shape the replacement project; the event is an input session, not a construction-start announcement or a final design.

The playground work is part of a city partnership with the Parks Foundation of Burlington, which is raising private funds for new playgrounds at Smalley, Baird and Ethan Allen parks and a future destination playground at Leddy Park. If weather affects the October 8 event, the city directs residents to Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront’s official social channels for changes.
