Nightly I-65 closures begin in Williamson County

Staff Writer · 2026-10-12 · Williamson County

The Tennessee Department of Transportation began nightly lane closures and intermittent ramp closures on Interstate 65 from just south of Concord Road to the Davidson County line on October 11, with work scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and completion anticipated by December 31, 2026.

The resurfacing work affects I-65 in Williamson County between the area just south of Concord Road and the Davidson County line. TDOT says crews plan to close lanes nightly from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.; ramps within the work zone may also close intermittently.

The state expects the project to run through December 31, 2026, but describes that date as anticipated rather than guaranteed. Weather and field conditions can change individual work nights or the overall schedule.

Drivers using this section of I-65 should allow additional travel time and check TDOT SmartWay or call 511 before leaving. The notice does not identify a single continuous closure or a fixed ramp-by-ramp timetable, so travelers should rely on current traffic information and posted work-zone controls.
