The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development launched the TNWorks Talent Accelerator as a central entry point for employers seeking workforce help. Businesses can use TNWorks.com to share hiring and training needs, connect with providers and request a meeting about available programs.
The new TNTalent program initially supports training in nuclear energy, AI infrastructure and advanced manufacturing. The state says employers may seek help with incumbent-worker training for both new hires and existing employees, but the October 13 announcement does not specify a per-employer funding cap, an award timetable or an application deadline.
Rural Works is the second program included in the launch. It directs state funding toward workforce pipelines in rural counties, beginning with health care occupations and potentially expanding to other sectors as needs are identified.
The accelerator coordinates six state entities: the departments of Labor and Workforce Development, Economic and Community Development, Human Services and Education, along with the Tennessee Board of Regents and Tennessee Higher Education Commission. Employers should use the official TNWorks site for current eligibility, funding and enrollment details rather than assuming that every training request will qualify.
