Nashville offers two free walk-up flu clinics on October 20

Staff Writer · 2026-10-14 · Nashville and Goodlettsville

Metro Public Health Department will provide free flu vaccinations on October 20, 2026, at Lentz Public Health Center and the Goodlettsville library branch, without appointments or insurance requirements.

Lentz’s event runs from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and accommodates both drive-up and walk-up visitors. The Goodlettsville branch runs its walk-up-only clinic from noon to 6 p.m. These are separate locations, so choose the site and hours that fit your trip.

The department recommends considering vaccination for people aged six months and older. Visitors should wear clothing that makes the upper arm accessible. The announcement does not say whether high-dose vaccine will be stocked at either event; anyone needing a particular formulation should confirm availability with the department.

Residents unable to attend can call the East, Woodbine or Lentz preventive-health clinics for weekday appointments. Metro says clinic flu shots will be free after October 20 for the remainder of flu season; earlier clinic pricing should not be confused with the free event.
