Adeptus plans 217 jobs at a new Anderson County wood-products facility

Staff Writer · 2026-10-02

South Carolina announced that Adeptus USA plans a $215.56 million wood-products operation in Anderson County, with 217 projected jobs and operations expected to begin during the second quarter of 2027.

The planned facility at 1205 Hamby Road in Honea Path will produce moulding, boards, shiplap and panel products. The state says the project is Adeptus USA’s first South Carolina operation.

The state Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job-development credits and awarded Anderson County an $850,000 Closing Fund grant for building improvements. The announcement describes company commitments and incentives; it does not report that all jobs are already filled or that the plant is operating.

HTI will support hiring during startup. Interested workers can follow the application link in the governor’s official announcement as positions become available. The release does not provide a complete hiring schedule, wage information or eligibility details.
