North Kingstown lists October proposals before the state CDBG cutoff

Staff Writer · 2026-10-14 · North Kingstown

North Kingstown’s CDBG calendar lists public hearings for October 16 and November 6, 2026, and a local proposal cutoff of October 23. The town identifies November 10 at 3 p.m. as the state competitive-application deadline, with awards expected in early 2027.

The annual competitive round covers planning, public facilities and essential services. Applicants must use Euna and file separately for each activity. Housing and rehabilitation proposals belong in the separate rolling process.

The town lists council authorization on October 19 and Planning Commission review on October 29. Organizations bringing a proposal to North Kingstown should use the local October 23 date when coordinating with the town.

The attached funding announcement places the October 16 hearing at 3 p.m. in Town Hall’s second-floor conference room, 80 Boston Neck Road. November 6 meeting details were not listed in the calendar. Confirm the subsequent agenda and the timezone for the state’s 3 p.m. filing cutoff, which is unstated. The town also describes a planned November suspension of housing-application intake without specifying a day.
