Oklahoma City grant funds mental-health coordination, not a household application

Staff Writer · 2026-10-14 · Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City announced October 14 that the Inasmuch Foundation awarded $293,450 to its Public Safety Partnership. The four-year grant supports a full-time coordinator for a mental-health systems initiative; the City Council authorized it September 29.

The coordinator will work with Healthy Minds Policy Initiative and community agencies on team-based care, operating agreements and a longer-term financing plan. The initiative follows Healthy Minds’ 2025 assessment of local mental-health needs.

The planned Assertive Community Treatment approach brings intensive care into homes, workplaces and other community settings for people struggling with conventional outpatient care. The city describes fewer hospital visits, more stable housing and community integration as goals, not measured results of this grant.

This announcement does not offer cash assistance or a new resident enrollment form. It funds implementation capacity. Future city and provider notices must establish when services are available and how residents can access them.
