Raleigh schedules Battleford drainage design through 2028

Staff Writer · 2026-10-13 · Raleigh

Raleigh is designing stormwater improvements near Battleford Drive and Pine Creek Court under a $312,000 design budget, with construction currently scheduled to begin in fall 2028.

Homes near Battleford Drive and Pine Creek Court experience yard and street flooding. Raleigh Stormwater says the project is intended to reduce flooding on residential property and improve the area's existing pipes and drainage infrastructure.

McAdams is the design contractor, and the city lists a $312,000 design budget. Planning is complete; the current schedule calls for design work to finish in summer 2028, construction to begin that fall and construction to finish in spring 2030.

Those dates describe the city's present project schedule rather than guaranteed completion dates. The project page does not announce a road-closure schedule, property-access instructions or a resident application deadline. Residents with project questions can contact the city project manager through the official page.
