Red Hook to hear comments on proposed Peach Tree Court water extension

Staff Writer · 2026-10-15 · Red Hook

Red Hook posted an October 28, 2026 hearing on a possible CDBG application with the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority. The proposed work would connect Peach Tree Court at 5194 Route 9G to the authority's Tivoli water system through a new main and related infrastructure.

The hearing starts at 7:45 p.m. local time at Town Hall, 7340 South Broadway. Residents and groups may speak there or send written comments to the Town Board at that address so they arrive before the hearing.

The notice concerns a possible grant application, not an approved construction project. It specifies no award amount, construction start, connection charge or change to residents' water bills.

People requesting disability accommodations should contact the Town Clerk ahead of time at 845-758-4622. The notice was issued by the board on October 13 and posted October 14. It does not provide a precise written-comment cutoff beyond receipt in advance of the hearing.
