Albuquerque seeks weekday volunteers for senior meal deliveries

Staff Writer · 2026-10-14 · Albuquerque

Albuquerque's Department of Senior Affairs announced October 8, 2026, that it needs volunteers to transport prepared meals from its CASA central kitchen to senior meal sites and homebound older adults. Weekday morning opportunities offer flexible scheduling.

The accompanying city flyer advertises Monday-Friday shifts between 8 a.m. and noon, with flexible scheduling. Interested residents can use the city's linked OneABQvolunteers.com registration route or call Senior Affairs at 505-764-6400. The notice concerns delivery volunteers; it does not establish eligibility for receiving meals.

The department has not stated a recruitment closing date, fixed weekly commitment or compensation in the release. Confirm assignment requirements, transport arrangements and available shifts with Senior Affairs before making plans.
