Staff Writer · 2026-10-03 · Camden

Camden opened Bid 26-17 for NJDOT-backed improvements to Davis Street, Hallowell Lane, Sayrs Avenue and Decatur Street, with electronic submissions due October 15, 2026, at 11 a.m. Eastern time.

The city will accept bids only through its Bids&Tenders electronic procurement portal. The same portal provides the project specifications, drawings and contract documents; submissions received after 11 a.m. on October 15 will not be accepted.

Each bid must include a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond equal to 10 percent of the bid, capped at $20,000, plus a non-collusion affidavit. Any paper bond or check must reach Camden purchasing before the bid opening.

The city plans to open bids at 11 a.m. on October 15 in City Council Chambers at City Hall. The successful bidder and subcontractors must hold required licenses and registrations and comply with the labor, wage and affirmative-action requirements stated in the notice.
