Concord ends bagged leaf pickup; bulk crews begin October 26

Staff Writer · 2026-10-15 · Concord

Concord has discontinued spring and fall collection of bagged leaves. Its 2026 bulk-leaf program begins October 26, with one weather-dependent pass rather than a guaranteed pickup date for every street.

For bulk collection, rake loose leaves into a narrow row in the street beside the curb or road edge, within reach of equipment. Keep piles away from poles, mailboxes and other obstructions. The city asks drivers to leave access clear on weekdays, 7 a.m.–3 p.m.

Crews may stop for snow, and a return to unserved areas is not assured. The city’s live collection map will show completed work once operations start; it is not an appointment schedule.

Residents can instead take leaves to the city-listed recycling facility. Free disposal requires proof of residency and a load smaller than a noncommercial pickup truck. Empty bags or containers and take them away. General Services answers program questions at 603-228-2737.
