The city’s October 12 announcement describes roughly five acres, but the linked amended RFP expands the primary area to about 10 acres: a city-owned parcel and another parcel the city is committed to acquiring from the Bureau of Land Management. A further 12.5-acre expansion remains conditional. Proposers should work from the amended document rather than treating the blog’s shorter description as the complete site offer.
The city seeks multiple regulation-size ice surfaces and complementary mixed-use development. Proposals must explain the development team, facility concept, operations, community benefits, sustainability and schedule, with a ten-year operating model and financing details. These are requested plans, not an approved construction project or a promised opening date.
Submit one hard copy to Economic and Urban Development, attention Tyler Williams, at 495 S. Main St., sixth floor, Las Vegas, NV 89101, and an electronic copy to tjwilliams@lasvegasnevada.gov. The RFP explicitly gives December 17 at 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Land transactions and development terms still require applicable approvals; the city may reject submissions.
