Clark County grant applicants need a reimbursement plan before submitting

Staff Writer · 2026-10-15 · Clark County

Clark County’s Outside Agency Grant application period ends October 29, 2026, for services delivered July 2027 through June 2028. Eligible nonprofits and public bodies can seek support, but funding is tentative and recipients must pay approved expenses before requesting reimbursement.

The county’s September 28 notice excludes individuals and for-profit businesses. Proposed work must benefit Clark County residents through assistance to disadvantaged people, community activities or infrastructure. The program guide describes two funding tracks with tentative allocations of $1.5 million each; that is not an award commitment to any applicant.

Use the county’s OAG page to reach ZoomGrants and prepare the workplan, budget and required organizational documents. Reimbursement means the organization needs money available before county payments arrive; the guide recommends roughly three months of project operating funds. Program expenses must fall between July 1, 2027, and June 30, 2028.

Confirm request limits with SSPDT@ClarkCountyNV.gov: the Community Initiative application preview caps requests at $75,000, while the guide and FAQ describe that figure as a historical award level rather than a request ceiling. The documents also label the October 29, 5 p.m. cutoff PST while listing schedules in Pacific time. Ask staff to clarify the operative clock before relying on a conversion; no exact-time deadline entry has been inferred.
