This is an organizational grant opportunity, not an application for a resident's individual service position. Eligible applicant types include local governments and school districts, qualifying nonprofits, higher-education institutions and Tribes. Programs operating only in Montana generally apply through ServeMontana; eligible Tribes may also have a direct federal route.
Send the letter-of-intent form to serve@mt.gov with evidence of current SAM registration and a Unique Entity Identifier, plus indirect-cost documentation and Single Audit information where applicable. For the October 22 stage, submit the application in eGrants, email the additional documents and notify the state office that the electronic application was submitted.
The full notice sets both cutoffs at 5 p.m. Mountain Time, while the web timeline labels them MST. Because those labels can imply different offsets in October, confirm the intended cutoff with ServeMontana and submit early. No offset-based countdown is provided here. Check the current grant page for amendments and the full notice for the documents required by your application type.
Funding depends on federal appropriations and further review. New organizations without AmeriCorps funding experience are encouraged to consider the state's spring formula-grant process. Written questions are accepted October 13–16 at serve@mt.gov; preparing a submission does not guarantee selection or authorize a program to begin.
