Missoula grant awards support services, not a new application window

Staff Writer · 2026-10-15 · Missoula County

Missoula County announced approximately $1.32 million for community organizations on October 13, 2026. The awards support basic needs and youth substance-use prevention; both funding programs currently say applications are closed.

For fiscal 2027, the county announced $895,000 for 16 organizations through its Community Assistance Fund and $423,217 for 10 prevention programs. Its announcement describes assistance reaching Missoula and rural communities, including food, shelter, medical care and emergency transportation.

The release identifies funded providers, including Missoula Aging Services, the Poverello Center and Missoula Food Bank & Community Center. The food bank says the funding supports rural pantries in Lolo, Bonner and Clinton, alongside its pantry partnership with Soft Landing Missoula.

Residents seeking help should ask the listed provider about its services and intake requirements. The announcement does not promise cash payments to every resident or establish uniform household eligibility. Organizations should not treat this awards announcement as an open grant solicitation: both official program pages mark applications closed. No new application deadline is announced.
