Mississippi judicial campaign-finance reports are due October 9

Staff Writer · 2026-10-08

Mississippi nonpartisan judicial candidates and committees must ensure their periodic campaign-finance reports reach the Secretary of State by 5 p.m. Central time on Friday, October 9, 2026; mailing the form by that date is insufficient if it arrives later.

The Mississippi Secretary of State says periodic campaign-finance reports from every nonpartisan judicial candidate and committee are due by 5 p.m. on October 9. The notice applies to the reporting entities it names; it does not announce a general filing deadline for every Mississippi campaign.

Filers may send the report by email, deliver it in person to 401 Mississippi Street in Jackson, mail it to P.O. Box 136, Jackson, MS 39205-0136, or fax it to 601-576-2545. A mailed report must reach the office by the deadline; depositing it in the mail on October 9 does not satisfy the stated receipt rule.

Candidates and committees should confirm that the Secretary of State received a complete submission and keep delivery records. Questions can be directed to the Elections Division using the contact information in the official notice.
