Duluth plans two-day College Street turn-lane and trail closure

Staff Writer · 2026-10-04 · Duluth

Duluth will close the eastbound College Street turn lane to Junction Avenue and a nearby Campus Connector Trail segment beginning October 5 for utility-contractor work expected to last two days.

The closure begins Monday, October 5, and affects the eastbound turn lane from College Street to Junction Avenue. The Campus Connector Trail between Junction Avenue and Brainerd Avenue will also be closed while the contractor works.

People who regularly use the route should expect delays. Pedestrians can detour to the opposite side of College Street, and the city says signed detours will be posted in the affected area.

The city expects the work to take two days, but the release does not give precise daily closure hours. Travelers can check Duluth's official road-closure map for current conditions before using the corridor.
