The City of Lexington is organizing the drive with God’s Pantry Food Bank, public-safety agencies and other community partners. Residents may donate money through the food bank’s online form, take food to listed collection sites or give donations to Lexington police officers and Fayette County sheriff’s deputies while they are performing regular community duties.
Requested items include shelf-stable proteins, canned vegetables and fruit, pasta, rice, cereal, oatmeal, powdered or canned milk, seasonings and other unopened pantry goods. The city lists fire stations, police and sheriff offices, government buildings and two God’s Pantry Food Bank locations as collection points.
The drive begins October 15 and ends November 30. Lexington reports that the 2025 campaign collected 105,815 pounds of food, enough for 88,179 meals, along with $6,000 in monetary donations. The release does not state a closing time for November 30, so donors should use the official page and linked location map for current hours before visiting.
