The Kansas Department of Health and Environment says the Regional Partnership Grant Program is intended for collaborative arrangements that improve preventive care, provider sustainability, workforce capacity, value-based care and health technology in rural communities. A Kansas-based organization may apply after securing a commitment from at least one eligible provider, and the state anticipates 10 to 15 awards of up to $5 million, subject to federal funding approval.
The Transformative Capital Investment Grant Program is available to eligible rural Kansas providers for projects that change how they serve their communities. The state lists hospitals, physician practices, rural health clinics, provider networks, federally qualified health centers, local health departments, tribal health facilities, certified community behavioral health clinics, licensed substance-use disorder facilities and licensed long-term care facilities among eligible providers.
Both online applications close at 12 p.m. Central time on November 13. KDHE scheduled an informational webinar for October 9 at 10 a.m. and set October 23 as the question deadline. Applicants should read the separate requests for applications before submitting: both programs include detailed eligibility, budget, documentation and federal-compliance requirements, and the published funding amounts remain subject to CMS approval of Kansas's Year 2 budget.
