Dover drivers face intermittent truck movements near Bradford Street

Staff Writer · 2026-10-15 · Dover

An October 12 City of Dover notice says Mobility Center construction deliveries are expected from around October 14 through approximately December 1, 2026. Truck movements may temporarily affect Division, Bradford and Loockerman streets, with traffic-control staff assisting drivers.

The Downtown Dover Partnership anticipates roughly one delivery truck an hour from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Conditions and construction needs can change that schedule. The stated delivery window is broader than the hours singled out for extra travel time: the notice especially urges caution from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Affected locations are Division Street near Bradford Street, Bradford between Division and Loockerman, and Loockerman near Bradford. The notice describes temporary traffic effects, not a continuous street closure. Allow for truck movements when planning a trip through those blocks.

Both the start and finish are estimates. The announcement mentions parking impacts but provides no space-by-space restrictions or replacement-parking plan, so it should not be read as a detailed parking map.
