Hartford paving notice: move vehicles before work starts

Staff Writer · 2026-10-14 · Hartford

Hartford's 2026 neighborhood street-repair notice schedules milling and paving between October 14 and November 15. The city and MDC contracted Rafferty Fine Grading and Galasso Paving, with separate daytime and overnight street lists and expected weekday work windows.

The notice lists daytime work on parts of South Marshall, Hawthorne, Marshall, Laurel, Case, Farmington, Sherman and Lorraine streets. Overnight locations include Central Row, American Row, Market Street, 250 Chapel Street, parts of Talcott, Temple and Trumbull streets, and Trumbull Street Bridge. The official flyer identifies segments.

Expected Monday-Friday hours are 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for daytime work and 7 p.m.-5 a.m. overnight. Groupings and duration may change with road conditions, weather, traffic and utility repairs; these are not guaranteed street-by-street dates.

Residents with vehicles in driveways inside active work zones should move them before work begins to avoid being blocked in. Report nearby private underground installations, such as irrigation or heated-driveway equipment, promptly. The flyer lists Traffic Engineer Sebastian Tata at 860-757-9959, the Permit Division at 860-757-9972 and Hartford 311 contact Alessandra Ballestas at 860-757-9322.
