Boulder's youth-prevention grant round closes October 30

Staff Writer · 2026-10-15 · Boulder

An October 8 city notice anticipates about $430,000 for youth substance-use prevention. Eligible providers can seek $10,000–$100,000 annually; online proposals are due October 30 at 4 p.m. Mountain Time.

Nonprofits, government agencies and public or private educational institutions may apply. Eligible programs must primarily benefit people living in Boulder, excluding CU-Boulder students. Businesses, for-profit agencies and individuals cannot apply. Unrelated organization-wide operating costs are excluded, but program-linked overhead can qualify.

Register or sign in through the Foundant link on the city's SEA Fund page. New accounts require an employer identification number. Complete every application section and review the full RFP's eligibility, budget, evaluation and exclusion rules; paper applications are not accepted.

The service period is January 1–December 31, 2027, with possible renewal for 2028. Selection is competitive and funding is not assured. Successful providers need a signed contract and insurance documentation, with reporting twice a year; initial payments are scheduled for February 2027.
