List of NHL EBUGS for 2026-27 season

What this means

The NHL’s October 2, 2026 update lists the emergency backup goaltenders announced by teams for the 2026–27 season and describes a new requirement for each team to carry one on its roster. These goalies will dress, practice and travel with their teams and wear number 00. The stated eligibility rules exclude goalies who have played an NHL game under a standard player contract, more than 80 professional games, or professional hockey during the previous three seasons; several team appointments remained unlisted in the update.
