TRENTON – Today, Governor Mikie Sherrill announced her nominations of two county prosecutors: Robert Carroll for Morris County and Renée Robeson for Hunterdon County. If approved by the Senate, both nominees will begin new five-year terms in their respective offices. Carroll and Robeson bring extensive legal experience, a strong history of public service, and a deep commitment to community safety.

“Robert Carroll and Renée Robeson have shown unwavering dedication to public safety and the people they serve,” said Governor Sherrill. “Their experience, judgment, and integrity make them exceptional choices to continue leading these offices. I look forward to seeing the positive impact their leadership has on Morris and Hunterdon counties.”

Robert Carroll has served as Morris County Prosecutor since 2021. He was previously the Director of the Law Department for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, where he oversaw statewide legal operations. Carroll has a long career investigating organized crime, special prosecutions, and complex criminal cases. He also holds an Executive Certificate for Leadership Development from Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations.

She is also the recipient of the Mercer County Victim Witness Advocacy Award for Outstanding Service on Behalf of Crime Victims and for cooperation with the Mercer County Office of Victim Advocacy.
