State Agencies Seize Illegal Hemp Products (2/19/2025)
The issuing organization did not supply a publication date.
Added to The State & Nation: October 3, 2026
What this means
Alaska commerce and natural-resources enforcement staff seized 2,729 hemp-derived products from three Anchorage-area businesses on February 18, 2025. The agencies said more than 90% of the intoxicating products did not qualify for state registration or lawful marijuana-market sale because they originated outside Alaska’s legal market or otherwise failed state requirements, and advised consumers and retailers to consult the Industrial Hemp Program’s lists of endorsed products and registered businesses.
