On September 23rd, a 2026 Kia Carnival was traveling northbound on SR-18 near milepost 25. The Kia drifted into the southbound traffic lane, and off the shoulder of the roadway where it rolled multiple times. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected. The male driver was pronounced dead on scene.
