The Republican Women’s Legislative Caucus will hold a press conference at 1:00 pm in the Old Supreme Court Room to announce their agenda for the 2025 session.
Legislators will provide details about legislation to address these issues:
reforms in the state juvenile justice system
increasing penalties against human trafficking
re-vamping childcare tax incentive policy
improving treatment across the entire forensic mental health system, especially for people in county jails who need help
Joining the legislators will be Juvenile Judges, Supreme Court Justice Rhonda Wood, and members of the Supreme Court Commission on Children, Youth and Families.
Also attending the press conference will be Dr. Michael Birrer and members of the UAMS Board to discuss an upcoming announcement that the application for National Cancer Institute Designated Status is planned to be filed in the fall.
