Official release

On October 5th, a school bus that was traveling westbound on SR-56 near Lund Highway attempted to make a left turn on a yellow-arrow traffic light and made the turn in front of a motorcycle traveling eastbound. The motorcycle was impacted by the front of the school bus and the rider died on scene. The school bus was not occupied with any children at the time of the crash. Traffic on SR-56 was impacted for approximately three hours while the crash was investigated. The motorcycle rider was wearing a helmet and protective gear.

Deceased: Motorcycle rider, Robby Bruce, 42 y/o male.
