Louisiana State Police said a 42-year-old Patterson man died after a pickup pulling a trailer struck his electric bicycle on eastbound US 90 near Alice C Road in St. Mary Parish on October 14, 2026. Troop I began investigating shortly before 1 a.m. The pickup driver reported no injuries and gave a zero-alcohol breath sample; a toxicology sample from the bicyclist was sent for testing.
