What this means

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott participated in an October 13 fireside discussion at the University Lands Energy Forum in Odessa with University of Texas System regents Stuart Stedman and Rad Weaver. Abbott discussed energy production, workforce development, business growth, education, transportation and border security; his office cited 57 Fortune 500 headquarters and 1.4 million oil-and-gas-supported jobs in Texas. The release describes remarks rather than a new appropriation or regulatory action.
