Detectives Seeking Witnesses To A Vehicular Homicide On SR 167

King County: At approximately 12:45pm last Monday, September 28, 2026, Washington State Patrol (WSP) communications received 9-1-1 calls reporting a serious car/motorcycle collision SB SR 167 just north of SR 18.
Once troopers and the fire department arrived sadly the motorcycle rider was deceased.
The investigation revealed through witnesses that the motorcycle and a Porsche were traveling at a high-rate SB SR 167 apparently racing when the Porsche changed lanes and struck the motorcycle causing the rider to be ejected.
The driver of the 2025 Porsche 911 was placed into custody for Vehicular Homicide under the Reckless Driving prong in the statute.
WSP detectives are seeking anyone that witnessed or has dashcam of this tragic collision. Please email Detective Ford at John.Ford@wsp.wa.gov.
