The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Wong to the Economic Development Board. Appointed by Gov. Cox and confirmed by the Senate, the nine-member Economic Development Board plays a crucial role in fostering economic growth and opportunity for all Utah residents.

“Catherine is an important addition to the board,” said Jefferson Moss, GOED commissioner. “Her remarkable and deep understanding of how to scale business and innovation makes her an invaluable addition and a great match for where Utah is headed. Catherine’s strategic vision and proven dedication to Utah’s business ecosystem will play a vital role as we continue to drive sustainable economic opportunities.”

Wong serves as the chief operating officer and chief product officer of Entrata, a leading operating system for multi-family communities worldwide. Wong brings decades of experience leading high-growth technology, product, and engineering organizations across Utah’s prominent tech ecosystem. Prior to Entrata, she held key roles including chief operating officer, chief product officer, and executive vice president of engineering at Domo, the data and AI platform acquired by Progress Software in 2026. Her extensive career also includes executive leadership roles at Adobe and Omniture, where she established a strong track record of scaling enterprise software platforms and building world-class engineering teams.

Beyond her operational leadership, Wong is a dedicated advocate for economic growth, technology innovation, and workforce development in Utah. She earned her degree in computer science from Brigham Young University and serves on the boards of Amplitude, Human Interest, and the Women Tech Council. She has also served on the industry advisory boards for engineering programs at both the University of Utah and Utah State University. Her appointment to the GOED board reflects her long-standing commitment to strengthening Utah’s business landscape and expanding opportunity for the state’s tech sector.

“I am deeply honored by Governor Cox’s appointment and excited to contribute to Utah’s economic trajectory,” said Wong. “By fostering innovation, empowering entrepreneurs, and investing in our workforce, we can ensure that Utah’s economic success delivers lasting opportunity for all residents and communities across the state.”

As a member of the board, Wong is part of a diverse group of state leaders representing targeted industries, rural communities, higher education, and entrepreneurial ventures.
