What this means
Indiana Governor Mike Braun announced that Commerce Secretary Chuck Goodrich would travel to Tokyo and Nagoya during the week of October 13 to meet Japanese companies operating in Indiana and Indiana companies with facilities in Japan. The state says 290 Japanese business facilities support nearly 62,000 Indiana jobs and that Japan-based companies have committed more than $10 billion in the state since 2005. The trip was projected to cost up to $25,000, primarily from existing Indiana Economic Development Foundation funds, while Goodrich and his wife were to cover their own travel costs.
