Issuer publication date: October 15, 2026
Added to The State & Nation: October 15, 2026
What this means
The White House reported that the president signed three Senate bills on October 15, 2026. S. 240 changes the Crow Tribe’s 2010 water-rights settlement to give greater flexibility in completing reservation water projects in Montana. S. 283 directs the Commerce Department to develop a chemical-testing method for determining where seafood originated. S. 2403 changes federal law governing employee benefits by defining “adequate consideration” for certain shares in closely held companies. The announcement identifies enacted laws, not proposals; it does not supply an implementation timetable for the three measures.
