Check the bike before riding

An October 1, 2026 CPSC notice covers about 1,032 Urban Arrow cargo electric bikes in the United States. A bolt holding the seat can fail and leave it loose. Gazelle reported nine instances of damage or wear at the saddle connection; the notice reports no injuries.

Affected models

The recall identifies Family, Shorty, Cargo L/XL and Tender 1000/1500 models. Recalled seatposts have two silver bolts. These bikes were sold through specialty stores nationwide between 2016 and 2022. Compare your bike with the model descriptions and photographs in the official notice.

Arrange the free repair

Stop riding an affected bike. Contact Gazelle at 800-838-5388 or recall.na@urbanarrow.com to arrange a replacement seatpost and saddle. Owners can install the parts themselves or have an Urban Arrow dealer fit them free. Follow the registration instructions linked from CPSC. The notice gives no registration deadline.
