Stewart's recalls two ice cream batches after metal report
Affected half-gallon cartons were sold in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire.

Stewart's Shops announced a recall on October 2, 2026 after a customer found metal in a half-gallon ice cream carton. The company said no related injuries or illnesses had been reported when it issued the notice, which FDA published.
Which cartons are affected
The recall covers Heavenly Medley with a February 10, 2027 best-by date and UPC 082086443711, and Vanilla-Chocolate-Strawberry with a February 11, 2027 best-by date and UPC 082086443773. Both come in half-gallon, 1.89-liter cartons. The company identifies sales at Stewart's locations in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire between July 17 and October 2, 2026.
Return recalled ice cream
Do not eat an affected product. Stewart's directs customers to return it to any of its shops for a full refund. Questions can be directed to 518-248-0455. Check the official notice below against the carton; the notice does not state a refund deadline.
