The recall covers model MY002
ONTHEWEI recalled about 2,140 baby bath seats on October 8, 2026. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the seats violate the mandatory infant bath-seat standard because they can tip over during use, creating a risk of serious injury or death from drowning.
Affected seats are gray, pink, blue or mist green and have detachable restraint arms and suction cups underneath. A label on the back shows model number MY002 and a manufacture date of 2026/1/10. The seats were sold on Amazon during April 2026 for $40 to $50.
Stop using the seat before requesting a refund
CPSC says families should stop using the recalled seat immediately and contact ONTHEWEI at onthewei@outlook.com for a full refund. The process requires writing “RECALLED” on the front, removing the back rest and restraint arms, cutting the three suction cups and emailing a photograph that shows the marked, disabled product. The seat should then be discarded.
The federal notice listed no known incidents or injuries as of its publication date. Families should still follow the recall and stop using the seat immediately. The recall is identified as number 27-018.
