Affected packages

Flowers Foods announced the recall October 2, 2026; FDA posted it October 5. Certain Nature’s Own Hawaiian bread packages omitted milk from the ingredients label, posing an allergic-reaction risk for people allergic or severely sensitive to milk.

Distribution covered Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. The 20-ounce loaf has UPC 0 72250 91662 2 and listed best-by markings spanning October 8–18, 2026. Specific production codes and times also identify affected loaves: compare the complete table in the linked notice.

The 40-ounce two-pack has UPC 0 72250 00683 5; the notice lists no code or best-by restriction for that package.

Refund and questions

Discard recalled bread or take it back to the seller for a full refund. Flowers Foods reported no related illnesses or incidents when announcing the recall.
