Reserve free counseling

Delaware residents with Medicare can arrange free, confidential counseling through the state's Medicare Assistance Bureau, including people younger than 65. An October 15, 2026 Department of Insurance notice lists in-person sessions beginning October 20. Phone and virtual appointments are also offered.

To book, call 302-674-7364. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Ask the bureau to confirm your appointment time and location before traveling.

First sessions at the three offices

Dover: October 20, at 1351 West North Street, Suite 101.

Wilmington: October 21, at 503 Carr Road, Suite 303.

Georgetown: October 22, at 28 The Circle, Suite 1.

Keep the enrollment deadline separate

These counseling dates are not the enrollment deadline. Medicare's annual Open Enrollment ends December 7, 2026; timely plan elections take effect January 1, 2027. Get advice about your own coverage before changing plans.
